This summary explains our approach to privacy while a formal policy is being prepared. It is written in plain language and is not a legal contract.
Handling sensitive information
Welfare records are among the most sensitive information a masjid holds. Masjid Welfare is designed so this information stays controlled — accessible to authorized members of an organization, and recorded through a clear activity history.
Organization separation
Each organization operates within its own workspace. The platform is being built so one organization's cases stay separate from another's.
Access and permissions
Roles determine who can view or act on a case. We aim for least-privilege access, so people see what their responsibilities require and not more.
Coordinated welfare network
Masjid Welfare is being built to let participating organizations receive limited, controlled awareness that a related request was recently seen elsewhere — designed around controlled matching rather than open applicant browsing. There is no directory to freely search, and one organization's private notes, documents, amounts, and decisions are not exposed to another. This capability is on our roadmap and will undergo privacy review before any production rollout.
What we don’t claim
We do not claim compliance certifications we have not earned. As the platform matures, this page will be replaced with a complete, formal privacy policy.
